Sounds good.
Of the new flavours the Exotic Mango is the best, lots of flavour and tastes of mango.
The Peach is very subtle but still drinkable.
The Feisty Cherry I think has ginger in or something to give it that warm aftertaste at the back of your mouth. I hate ginger and a definite no from me. I’ll stick with regular cherry.

haven’t heard of that one before

I used to work at this supermarket down in Balnarring. Endless varieties of Tim Tams, each selling worse than the last. We were forever throwing them out. People just want regular Tim Tams - or maybe double coat if they’re feeling adventurous.
I can’t look kindly on pointless variations like this. It’ll go the way of Cherry Coke
i
n Australia.

was cherry coke sold here?
when?

You had me doubting myself.
The Australian version was released between 2003 and 2004 and was a different formula to the US version. It is no longer bottled in these countries, although the U.S. product is imported by some Canadian convenience stores near the Canada–US border , as well as by IGA , Costco and specialty retailers in Australia.

I question who is more insane. You or Coca Cola Amatil.

Blame the market. Grocery stores used to carry just a few hundred items. Consumers would occasionally swap. Companies realized that if they had something else to offer, they might be able to keep consumers within their brand when they tried something new. Now it has spawned a monster of continuous growth/improvement/change that we will never escape.

Makes sense. In Australia we have Aldi, who offer a much more limited selection and cheaper prices. I like it.
You want tomato sauce? You get the tomato sauce they’ve got. It’s probably fine.
There are a few edge products to keep things interesting, but the standard range is limited.

vanilla coke > cherry coke > regular coke.
Coincidentally, the inverse is how rare it is to find them in a supermarket.

Apparently our cherry isn’t the same as your cherry so I’ll withhold judgement.
But vanilla is king

Many fast food places near me have those coke freestyle machines now. The cherry coke from those is different too!

TIL it was sold here, never knew

Coke had a sampling booth and I liked them all.
They’re just not awesome enough for me to go out of my way to buy them.
The new coke zero i s really good though.

T ried Orange Coke from a soda fountain once, didn’t like it. I dunno if the machine put out a bad mix or something, but I felt like the orange flavor made it “taste” flat.

Everywhere you go Coke is different, especially if you are getting it out of the fountain. The mix is adjustable, so some places intentionally set the mix for more carbonated water to save a little on the syrup, others are just incompetent or they don’t know what the drinks are supposed to taste like, so they can’t get it set properly. Coke from a can tastes different from Coke from a plastic bottle, which tastes different than Coke from a glass bottle.
Yeah, I drink a lot of Coke.

Agreed. That stuff is just so darn good. Which reminds me, I need to get some more of that this weekend.

I wouldn’t rate the other flavors in the series
above a 5, but this one...

Well one of the major flavors of regular Coke is lemon, so it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch.

Haha! That’s cool to hear. I don’t buy them, but I’ll eat 3 given half a chance

I’ve heard good things about “Mexican Coke” from the Arctic Monkeys
![]() 08/03/2018 at 07:35 |

Never heard of them before. Kinda funky . I like it.
Mexican Coke is sweeter than regular Coke and I think it has less carbonation. Every taste I’ve had came in a glass bottle. It’s good stuff.

YOU’VE NEVER HEARD OF THE ARCTIC MONKEYS!? Do I Wanna Know is their undisputed masterpiece, same album. Usually it takes me >5 listens to really get into anything, this had me from the start.
One day I’ll get to Mexico.
